Hi Navi, Joan, Spiritlite 
I had to take a bit of time to contemplate what and how I feel
about the statement Navi made that I posted above...
The emoticons indicate I have many diverse thoughts & feelings
about the 'soul' of crystals, flora & fauna & all of Mother Earth!
The words I would choose instead of soul would be Universal
Life Force, Source energy, Consciousness, Infinite Intelligence
and a number of other phrases than Soul...Not to dampen the
enthusiasm! Just a response that to me 'Soul' has a
different meaning or connotation...And many ways to express
or discuss that word or energy also! 
I enjoy, love &
savor attuning and connecting to crystals & stones! Have for
about all of this lifetime and other lifetimes...I have the
deepest respect & unconditional love for stones and for all
humans & sentient beings and every grain of sand...When I am
at my highest & best behavior!
Anyway this is a huge topic! And some entities(souls) have
been known to occasionally inhabit a quartz crystal for a
variety of reasons, like Shapeshifting, Multi-dimensional travel,
experience of stillness, etc. That is a lengthy discussion as well...
